Mrs. McRae is married to Tim McRae. They have no children, but they do have two Shetland sheepdogs, one Calico Cat, and 5 Buff Orphington hens. She enjoys antiques, flea markets, and working in the yard.

After nine years of teaching language arts,
Melissa McRae is now our librarian and media specialist here at BMS.
This is her eleventh year teaching and her fourth year at BMS. Mrs.
McRae graduated from Boaz High School.
After high school she attended Snead State Community College, University
of Alabama in Huntsville, Jacksonville State University, and Alabama
University in Tuscaloosa. She received a B.A. in Literature/English and
an M.S. in Secondary Education-Language Arts. She is now working on another M.S. in Library
Science at the University of Alabama. Mrs. McRae is also the Jr. Civitans
