Mr. Ray Landers

  The principal at Boaz Middle School is Mr. Ray Landers.  Mr. Landers is married to his wife Ann, of whom he says is the best wife in the world!  He has two children.  Leah is 29 years old and is the mother of Teagan.  Teagan is Mr. Landers's 16-month-old granddaughter.  Tyler, Mr. Landers's son, is 28 years old.  The Landers family has a white dog named Angus and a black cat named Bella.

                    Mr. Landers taught for three years at McDonald Elementary School in Mohawk, Tenn., ten years at Stowers Hill Elementary in Attalla, Ala., and ten years at Kate Duncan Smith DAR school in Grant., Ala.  He has been an administrator in the Boaz Schools for the past nine.

                   Mr. Landers graduated from Berea College in 1973 with his undergraduate degree, and in 1981 and 1983 from the University of Alabama with his Master's degrees.  He has done additional post-graduate work at Alabama and at Vanderbilt University.

                   Mr.. Landers loves reading fantasy novels  and playing with his granddaughter.  He also enjoys golf and going to the movies.  Going down the hall, you might here him whistling one of the many tunes he knows.  He also has the rare talent of curing hiccups.  His first two years of school were spent in a one-room schoolhouse.
